The Ipswich Speakers Club is one of the
many clubs nationally affiliated to the Association of Speakers
Clubs.
The aim of the A.S.C. is to further the development of
communication through speaking, by continual improvement of
presentational skills. The Association has no political or sectarian
interests and is served by unpaid officers elected from the
membership.
Members have a common bond in helping each other
to develop skills and confidence in the art of speech making and
presentation.
Members will have the opportunity to practice
the art of speech preparation and presentation as well as to take
part in helpful evaluation of speeches. Members will also undertake
impromptu speaking and gain the chance to prepare agendas and chair
meetings
